Family walking in a open field at Cades Cove

My Favorite Moments from Recent Sessions

There is something special about looking back through recent sessions and realizing how many small in-between moments tell the biggest stories. Whether it’s the way a newborn curls into their mothers chest, a toddler’s wild laughter, or the quiet couple of moments between parents. These are the images that give me my WHY.

Here are a few of my favorite moments from recent sessions that remind me WHY I LOVE doing what I do!

This family invited me to their home to do a family session on their property and of course it was an immediate YES from me! These two girl love to catch bugs and chase each other around! I used some fun playful prompt to get everyone comfortable and man I think we all had a great time! The family airplane pose is a favorite go-to of mine.

You can just FEEL the connection

I LOVE a sweet newborn session and this one was no different. This little man had a head full of hair and round chunky cheeks you just wanted to squeeze off! Big sis was so smitten and loved holding him! There is just something special about bringing a new baby home, the sleepless nights are long but the years are so short…

The way he held his mama just melted my heart…

This session was for another local photographer, shooting other photographers can be a little nerve racking haha but this family was literally so sweet and fun! Raising two young boys is no easy task but this mama does it with such grace. I loved having them sit on this blanket and just telling mom and dad to play with the boys and just focus on each other, we got the best giggles and believe it or not this was at the end of the session when the boys were just over it and ready to be done. Sometimes they just need mom and dad to sit down and play, not a photographer asking them to smile and look at the camera. The magic happens when you least expect it to. These will always be some of my favorites!

Each of these sessions reminded me how every family’s story is completely unique, and how the best photos happen when you simply live in the moment.

If you’re dreaming of capturing your own family’s story, I’d love to create something special for you.
